The Chairman requested the public contribution time be allocated before the meeting. Ros Beeching on behalf of the Chillenden Platinum Celebration team informed the Parish Council of the proposals to celebrate the event in early June 2022. Events include Bonfire, Barn dance, Street Party, litter pick. The Chairman thanked Ros for report and requested a full costing to be submitted to the next parish Council at the end of March for consideration for funding.

APPOINTMENT VICE CHAIR

Two nominations Councillor Aldington and Councillor Nick Turner Brown

Councillor Aldington put forward information in support of his nomination. He confirmed he has served four and half years on the Parish Council with 100% attendance record and has attended Councillor Training.

Councillors asked to vote.

Councillor Nick Turner Brown   2 votes in favour Councillor Phillips and Councillor Stanford

Councillor Jon Aldington 0 Votes

Carried Councillor Nick Turner Brown confirmed as Vice Chair

FOOTPATHS

  1. Various applications to amend definitive map Bridleways C391 C467

    Following discussion Councillors in agreement that the Bridleway status remain unchanged and report this view to Kent County Council.

  2. HIGHWAYS

    Clerk informed the Councillors that a delay to next stage of 20 mph speed restrictions in Goodnestone is due to deposit documents and consultation needed for Park View Close Manicom Close. Closing date 14th March 2022.

    WILD FLOWER MEADOW MILLENNIUM FIELD

    Clerk informed the Parish Council that White Cliffs Countryside Partnership had shown interest in the scheme and will complete a site visit.

    PLATINUM JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS

    Councillor Stanford agreed to lead a small team to progress the Goodnestone Parish events and liaise with Chillenden residents. A report will be on the next agenda.

    PARISH DEFIBRILLATORS

    The equipment located at The Griffin in Chillenden is up and in use.

    The equipment at The FitzWalter Arms to be fitted in the coming weeks.

    Access codes to be distributed accordingly.

    FINANCES

    Budget for 2022/23 to be distributed for next meeting

    PLANNING

    A late Planning Application received for The Barn at the Ark. Chairman asked Clerk to request extension from Dover District Council.

    WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE

    COUNCILLOR REPORTS ON PARISH MATTERS

    Councillors informed of the sad news of the death of Chillenden resident Norman Webber. Funeral to be held at Church of The Holy Cross Goodnestone. Date to be confirmed. Condolences expressed to all the family.
