COMMUNITY POLICING /NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH
No reports received. Local Community Support Officer to attend next meeting if available.
FOOTPATHS
- Old Cart Track Chillenden
Councillor Beeching reported on latest advice from Heather Watson KCC. Bridleway status discussed and suggested as lowest maintained Right of Way. Existing users would maintain right of way including residents The Glebe, southern water, Fitzwalters, etc Paperwork to be completed and information distributed to inform of the change. Item to be placed on next agenda for further discussion and confirmation of status. - Footpaths General
Footbath at Nookets Wood reported electric fence possible hazard. Councillor Beeching to investigate.
No further action by KCC reported on other footpaths. - Councillors discussed the feedback and report from Explore
Kent on additional notice boards in Chillenden. Councillor
Aldington reported on information from Elham Valley Walkers and
possible additional relevant information on new boards. He
agreed to report back at next meeting.
Councillors discussed the various types of information for the boards including historic facts, information on trails and walks. Councillors agreed to consider and report back tothe next meeting.
HIGHWAY MATTERS FLY TIPPING POT HOLE REPORTS
Pot holes repairs still remain outstanding and Clerk to follow up. Clerk reported on the community participation in litter picking including the children from the School. Litter pickers available on request.
SPEED CONTROLS GOODNESTONE AND CHILLENDEN
Following the report form KCC Highways on costings and commencement of the project all Councillors agreed that the process of consultation should be put in place. A questionnaire / survey to be distributed to all residents. Clerk to produce draft based on example and advice from KCC.
Councillor Beeching commented on the ‘20 is plenty’ campaign. Information from the website may be useful to the current discussion on the speed limit proposals.
Clerk reported on completion of Risk Assessment for Volunteers and maintenance of Speed Indicator Sign.
STREET LIGHTING
Chillenden awaiting repair on 2 lights. Clerk had requested update from DDC. No response to date.
ACTION: CLERK TO PROGRESS
LAND TO REAR OF CHILLENDEN VILLAGE HALL
Councillors reported on removal of some rubbish from the site and expressed concerns of possible asbestos contamination. It was agreed this must be further investigated and further discussion at the next meeting
It was reported that the metal shed had still not been removed from site at Chillenden.

Clerk reported on complaint from Goodnestone residents concerning derelict land adjacent to Park View Close.

Councillor Aldington reported on information to be circulated on Electric Charging Points. Item to be placed on next agenda.
COUNCILLOR REPORTS ON PARISH MATTERS
Chairman asked members of the public who had attended if they wished to speak.
Ray Holyer raised his continued interest on Cart Track, Speed Controls and Land behind Village Hall..
Chairman thanked everyone for attendance.
Clerk reminded the Councillors that in accordance with Government Legislation all meetings will return to physical attendance following 6th May 2021.
