An extraordinary meeting of the Parish Council will take place on Friday 1st April 2022 at 7.30pm in Goodnestone Village Hall. The meeting is to consider the approval of funds for the 20mph speed limits in Goodnestone and Chillenden. The agenda can be found on the Parish Council agendas and minutes page.

A vacancy has arisen for the role of councillor in Goodnestone Parish Council. The vacancy will be filled by election. The Fitz is re-opening!
The Fitzwalter Arms has been closed for a few weeks for refurbishment. It re-opens its doors on Thursday 24th March at 4pm under new management. Bus Service Reductions – Consultation
Kent County Council is proposing to reduce rural bus services. The reductions that are under consideration include services 541, 542 and 544 that serve Goodnestone and Chillenden. They also affect the Kent Karrier (Dial-a-Ride) services.

20mph Speed Limits – Further Consultation
Kent County Council have issued an update to the proposed speed reductions to 20mph. The update clarifies that fact that Park View Close and Manicom Close are included in the proposed reductions.
