There will be a road closure in Rowling between Wednesday 15th and Friday 17th June between Sandwich Road an Rowling Road for carriageway repairs.
The road will be closed between Sandwich Road, near the junction that leads to Lower Rowling, and the ‘Y’ shaped junction close to Rowling House. In other words, the closed section will include the sharp bend near the ‘T’ junction in lower Rowling.

Nonington Farms will be hosting a farm walk and talk around the farm at Goodnestone. A great chance to learn about the regenerative agricultural practices going on, see first hand what environmental measures are being put in place and the impact it is having at Goodnestone. A free event but ticketed. Please email info@noningtonfarms.co.uk to register. Open to all age groups everyone is welcome to join, setting off from the car park at Goodnestone Park.

There will be two road closures for jubilee parties on Sunday 5th June.
The road will be closed outside Chillenden village hall between 11am and 4pm. The alternative route is via Station Road and Short Street.
The Street in Goodnestone will be closed outside the Fitzwalter Arms pub between 5pm and 9pm. There will be no routine vehicular access beyond the pub or to Goodnestone Park during this period. Please plan accordingly!
The road will be closed outside the former Red Lion pub at Wingham on Monday to Wednesday 30th May to 1st June. Alternative routes including Wingham Well Lane and Buckland Lane may be busier than usual. Please plan accordingly.
Goodnestone Parish will join the nation in celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee over the extended weekend from 2nd to 5th June. A programme of events has been arranged across the parish.
Chillenden windmill is now open on Sunday afternoons from 2.30 to 4.30. The mill will be open every Sunday until the end of August. There is no charge to visit although donations are welcome. A local guide will be on hand to show you around, explain how the mill operated and share the history of this important local landmark.
