Goodnestone Parish will join the nation in celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee over the extended weekend from 2nd to 5th June. A programme of events has been arranged across the parish.

Chillenden windmill is now open on Sunday afternoons from 2.30 to 4.30. The mill will be open every Sunday until the end of August. There is no charge to visit although donations are welcome. A local guide will be on hand to show you around, explain how the mill operated and share the history of this important local landmark.

An extraordinary meeting of the Parish Council will take place at 7.30pm on Tuesday 19th April in Goodnestone Village Hall. The agenda for this meeting can be viewed on the Parish Council Agendas and Minutes page.

There was only one nomination for the role of Parish Councillor for Goodnestone so the candidate was elected unopposed. Lidia Long will be the new councillor.

The extraordinary Parish Council meeting that was booked for Friday 1st April has been postponed. A new date will be published once agreed.

An extraordinary meeting of the Parish Council will take place on Friday 1st April 2022 at 7.30pm in Goodnestone Village Hall. The meeting is to consider the approval of funds for the 20mph speed limits in Goodnestone and Chillenden. The agenda can be found on the Parish Council agendas and minutes page.

A vacancy has arisen for the role of councillor in Goodnestone Parish Council. The vacancy will be filled by election. If you are interested, please see the Notice of Election or discuss the vacancy with any member of the Parish Council. Note that the deadline for responses is 4pm on Tuesday 5th April.

The Fitzwalter Arms has been closed for a few weeks for refurbishment. It re-opens its doors on Thursday 24th March at 4pm under new management.
