There are two pubs in the parish.

The FitzWalter Arms on the Street in Goodnestone re-opened in late 2014 under new management. The pub serves hearty home-cooked traditional fayre 7 days a week and is open every day from noon in a typical Goodnestone building with open fires to drive away the winter chills.

The pub is also a popular stop-off point for walkers exploring the beautiful countryside around Goodnestone and offers Bed & Breakfast with 3 en suite rooms available.

The Fitz has a Bat & Trap team running on Wednesday evenings. The team plays in a friendly league. All are welcome to come and watch or join in. For details of games drop in to the pub or call the number below. There is also a mixed darts team playing on Thursday evenings. Again all welcome.

For more details or to reserve a table or room call 01304 840303.

The Griffins Head in Chillenden serves great food in a characterful village pub. It is also a favourite with vintage car enthusiasts.
