There are two excellent pubs in the parish.
The FitzWalter Arms is situated on The Street in Goodnestone. Ben and Sabina took over the tenancy in late 2011. Food is served lunchtimes and evenings click here to download a menu. Sunday Roasts are also available. Thursday night is curry night with a selection of reasonably priced curries with all the usual accompaniments. For bookings or other enquiries call 01304 840303.
The pub hosts quiz nights on alternate Tuesdays. Teams of up to 6. Entry is £2 per person with a £40 prize, and a bottle of wine for the runners up. The £2 entry includes a pizza for each team. Check the calendar for the dates of the quiz nights. Just turn up on the night at around 7.30pm, either come along with a team or on your own and join a team on the night.

The Griffins Head in Chillenden serves excellent food in a delightful and characterful village pub. It is also a favourite with vintage car enthusiasts.
