Our quiet rural community has not escaped the effects of Covid-19. As society gradually opens up, it is important that we continue to follow the official guidance to protect ourselves, our families, friends and the community as a whole. Parish Help and Support

There is a Facebook page for Goodnestone and for those who use this form of social media it is a great way to keep in contact, coordinate volunteers, hold virtual quiz games, share music and so much more. The page is only visible to Facebook members and can be found by searching for Goodnestone on Facebook. Please share the page as much as possible if you join. Chillenden has a Facebook page and WhatsApp group. Contact details for Chillenden are on the Chillenden website.

If you are aware of any person in need of supplies, prescriptions, a chat on the phone or any other help please contact the Parish Clerk at .

It is particularly important that we reach out to people who are not on the village email list or may not have Internet access.

Take Away Food

Both the Fitzwalter Arms in Goodnestone and the Griffin's Head in Chillenden are providing take away food. For details and to see a menu, check either the Fitzwalter Arms Facebook page or the Griffin's Head Facebook page.

Village Shop

Goodnestone now has a village shop at the Fitzwalter Arms pub. The shop is now open 7 days a week selling essentials and a small selection of gifts and treats. Face coverings are required unless you are exempt for medical reasons.
