Refuse collection is handled by Dover District Council. The new refuse and recycling scheme was introduced to Goodnestone from the beginning of December.
Refuse and recycling collection now happens on Tuesdays in most of the parish.
Next recycling dates:
- Food waste & recycling (blue lidded bin and black box) - Tuesday 29th May
- Food waste & non-recyclable refuse (black lidded bin) - Tuesday 22nd May
In Knowlton and Sandwich Road, Chillenden, the collection dates are different:
- Food waste & recycling (blue lidded bin and black box) - Wednesday 23rd May
- Food waste & non-recyclable refuse (black lidded bin) - Wednesday 30th May

A new scheme for green (garden) waste will be introduced from April 2012, with fortnightly collections at a cost of £40/year. More details can be found on the Dover District Council Website.
